Q: Will the software run on any PC?
A: The software will run on any PC* running Windows XP SP2, Vista
Windows 7. * Dual core recommended
Q: How does the hardware connect to the PC or laptop?
A: We recommend using the NI cDAQ 9171 carrier module and 9215 BNC DAQ module which connect via a standard USB port
Q: Will the software work with other manufacturers hardware?
A: The software has been designed around the NI DAQ mx driver layer
software. Most NI DAQ cards are suitable but please check with us before ordering
Q: Can the same hardware be used for both XY plotting & chart recording?
A: Yes. The Version 3.1.2 software uses channels 0 and 1 in XY mode and 0 or 1 for chart recording mode. Software version 4.0.0 provides multiple Y channel plotting (no chart recorder functions)
Q: Can the software produce a plot like a traditional recorder?
A: Yes: The save as JPG option allows the trace window to be printed
Q: Can the software print plots to a network printer?
A: Yes: You can select which printer you want to print the plots on
Q: Can you protect who modifies tests?
A: Yes: This function is password protected. The password can be set by the system administrator
Q: Can you change the information saved with the plot?
A: Yes: Details regarding the test such as serial number, operator, works order number, ATP number etc can be custom defined by the user.
Q: Does the software save the date and time the test was run?
A: Yes: The date and time is automatically saved alongside the data

Software appears not to be working...
If you have any issues with the software not working after installation, the most likely cause is the set up of the Data acquisition card. If you have had any NI cards installed previously you may need to reset the device name of the card used for the XY plotter software. Click the button below to find out how to do this.
